When I first started down this blogging or niche site journey almost five years ago, I clearly remember how confusing everything seemed. Even with an IT background of over a decade at the time, things like WordPress and SEO were new concepts to me.

In my opinion, that’s probably the biggest reason people fail when trying to create a niche site. The doubt creeps in and takes over that early motivation, effectively stopping you in your tracks.
It takes a certain type of person to be able to keep pushing when the road is so long and success is not guaranteed. While you can’t guarantee success when building a niche site, if you do enough things right and limit your mistakes, your chances of success are high. We’ve repeated this process now with five websites, each reaching Mediavine’s monetization level requiring a minimum of 50,000 sessions/month.
A couple of our sites bring in over 500,000 pageviews/month on their own during their peak seasons. Not only that, but all of our sites are still in growth mode.
There’s really no ceiling as to how much you can make with a niche site. It’s simply a matter of honing in the process, then scaling it by either growing a single site or by adding additional sites.
How Will I Make Money?
Building up a ton a traffic to a niche site isn’t worth much if you can’t monetize that traffic. Thankfully, this step is one of the easiest.
We have three main methods of monetization that we cover in the course, which are display ads, affiliate links, and digital products. We lean heavily on that first option, which easily brings in over 95% of our revenue each month, but the other two can be extremely effective in certain niches as well.
All three of these options are mostly hands-off once they’re set up. Not only that, but each has the potential to generate a large amount of recurring income for your site.
What Costs Are Involved?
Aside from the cost of the course itself, there aren’t many costs involved in building an informational niche website. The only requirements are a domain name and hosting, which are covered in the course, and these costs are very minimal.
Beyond that, we cover couple of paid tools in the course that we highly recommend using, but again, the cost of these tools is very low. You could even get by without them if you really wanted to.
It doesn’t take much traffic to a site to generate the revenue needed to cover these costs. From there, it’s all profit.

Long gone are the days where the only way to make a buck is to work a day job doing something you don’t truly enjoy. These days, there are plenty of ways you can make money online.

As you publish each article on your site, you can look at them as small, individual income streams. The more you publish, the more money you can potentially earn month after month.
